And Much more!

ANTHONY EGLIN'S MEMOIR

Now available on Amazon and retail outlets where books are sold

From a childhood growing up dodging bombs in wartime London, drawing pictures under the family's sturdy old dining table, during air raids, Anthony had a dream: one day he would become an ad man. Thus started a remarkable, 50-year, transatlantic odyssey.

While the labyrinthine arc of his extraordinary memoir is about resolve, tenacity and ambition, his ascendence in the exacting world of advertising and, his award-winning achievements, is also packed with unforgettable characters, case histories and hilarious anecdotes, along with a recurring thread of irrepressible optimism, deft insights and dry wit. But there's more to his life story, much more.

Somehow, he found the time, energy and focus to also become a famous rock-band manager, a filmmaker, a bike racer, an antiques collector/dealer, a New Orleans Jazz clarinetist, an accomplished gardener, a wholesale bakery owner, and an award-winning author of six mystery books.

Anthony's heart-warming memoir is a captivating portrait of a life well lived that will keep you entertained, amused, absorbed and inspired.

★★★★★  Great Read

Anthony Eglin's recent autobiography "All I Ever Wanted to be Was An Ad Man" is a great read. It is a fun, refreshing and lighthearted memoir that resonates. Eglin, a young aspiring commercial artist, leaves London with his bride on a planned honeymoon in Vancouver and ends up living a very unplanned expat life in San Francisco, where he realizes his lifelong dream of becoming an Ad Man and much more. He is also the author of the award-winning Lawrence Kingston Mystery series. Landing in San Francisco in the Sixties without a job, friend or connection, Eglin's life has more twists than the City's famed Lombard Street. Eglin, an accomplished storyteller, chronicles his Ad Man career, personal escapades and serendipitous adventures with such authenticity and verve that you feel like you are there, in the moment.
